Prerequisiti | Psicologia Fisiologica, Neuropsicologia, Psicologia Generale |
Nello specifico: |

Teaching language | The lessons will take place in Italian |
Contents | The course of Cognitive Neuroscience consists of 2 modules: Neuroclinic of Cognitive Processes and Neuroscience of Cognitive Processes, both of 3 cfu (for a total of 6 cfu). During the module of Neuroclinica of Cognitive Processes are presented: |
Textbook and course materials | Reference for Erasmus/Foreign Students (Fabbri can provide versions of requested books if students do not find them): |
Course objectives | At the end of the course the student must apply his / her own knowledge, the ability to understand and the ability to solve problems with new topics. Furthermore, the student must know how to communicate the knowledge acquired to specialists and non-specialists in a clear and unambiguous way. The course aims to provide advanced preparation in the theoretical design and operational fields of cognitive psychology and neuroscience. Furthermore, the course aims to provide basic knowledge on the main theoretical models of normal and pathological cognitive functions and the biological basis of spontaneous functional recovery activated by pathological intervention. |
Prerequisites | Physiological Psychology, Neuropsychology, General Psyhology |
Teaching methods | The course of Cognitive Neuroscience is provided for a total of 42 hours (6 credits, 14 lessons; 3 hours each) of frontal teaching. The module of Neuroclinic of Cognitive Processes makes up 21 of the 42 total hours (3 credits, 7 lessons; 3 hours each). The lessons make use of a power point presentation using a video projector with the possibility of presenting and commenting on videos and / or brief computer tests to better understand the cognitive processes discussed in class. |
Evaluation methods | In all the appeals, the learning assessment modality takes place through an oral test on the general part (book) and the monographic one (article) in which the ability to create critical connections, the quality of the organization of the speech and of the exposition, and the use are evaluated, of the specialized vocabulary, as well as the relevance of the answer. The oral test aims to ascertain the ability to describe the main theoretical models of normal and pathological cognitive functions and the biological bases of spontaneous functional recovery activated by psychological intervention. Furthermore, the test ascertains the ability to communicate clearly and unambiguously the design and operational theories of cognitive psychology and neuroscience. The exam is considered passed if a grade equal to or greater than 18/30 is reached. In particular: |
