Il Corso si propone di far acquisire agli studenti: le basi conoscitive di etica medica e quelle per la diagnosi di morte e sua certificazione differenziando tra morti naturali e morti violente, metodologia di esame esterno, diagnosi differenziale tra lesioni contusive, da arma bianca e da arma da fuoco

La prova orale si prefigge di accertare l'apprendimento dei principi di etica medica e la capacità di ragionamento sulle principali questioni medico legali che caratterizzano la professione sanitaria.
L’esame è atto a valutare la conoscenza degli argomenti dell'insegnamento ed anche lo spirito critico dello studente sviluppato a seguito del corso. Durante il corso è prevista una prova intercorso, basata su quiz a risposta multipla o su domande che richiedono una risposta breve. Tale prova costituisce solo una verifica dell'apprendimento in aula. La prova orale sarà valutata in trentesimi

The learning goals of this Course include the knowledge of: Nurse Ethics, Determination of Cause and Manner of Death, Autopsy, Post-mortem changes and Time of Death. Sudden death and sudden infant death syndrome. Blunt Trauma and Craniocerebral injuries. Fire arm injuries. Sharp force injuries. Electrocution. Asphixial deaths and drowning, sexual abuse, child and elderly abuse.

After attending the lectures, students will understand the principles of medical ethics, how death can be assessed, make a difference between natural and violent deaths, informations taken from an external examination of a body differentiating between the main types of injuries due to blunt trauma, firearms, knife or sharp objects.

Lectures supported by presentation of slides in Power Point.
Representative case studies and key topics will be also supported by discussion and critical reading of the most recent case studies and reviews in the field

The oral exam covers all the aspects of medical ethics. Aim of the oral exam is to judge the knowledge as well as the critical opinion on the topic that the students should develop after the course.
The student should be able to discuss on the topic and be able to connect and analyze the different subjects. Moreover, the student must have a deep knowledge of the basic principles of medical ethics and legal medicine.
An intercourse test is planned to check the learning of students in the classroom. This consists in short general questions or a free space for suggestions. The final grade is expressed in 30/30 were 18 represents the minimum and 30 the maximum and it is established during the oral and/or written exam.
