    Course objectives

    Knowledge of the multidimensional and patient-oriented approach in the patient with neurological, orthopedic and visceral disabilities.
    Knowledge of the methodology of the assessment of the functions, structures, activities and social participation.
    Knowledge of how to formulate rehabilitation plans for disable patients.
    Knowledge of the main techniques and methods of the rehabilitation approach.


    Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and general pathology with particular
    concern to the nervous and musculoskeletal system.

    Evaluation methods

    Evaluation of student proficiency is based on an oral test (viva voce).
    The oral exam will cover all the aspects of the practical aspects of the program of all the subjects of the IV-year schedule. The student should be able to discuss a clinical case and be able to connect and analyze the different subjects.
    Moreover, the student must have a deep knowledge of the most common diseases - being able to connect the clinical findings with diseases. In order to test the acquisition of this ability the student will be asked to solve simple clinical oriented problem, e.g recognize the disease based on clinical manifestation, etc. The final grade is expressed in 30/30 were 18 represents the minimum and 30 the maximum and it is established during the oral exam while the written test only gives access to the oral part of the exam.
