| Prerequisiti | Conoscenze di base di matematica e fisica generale. |
| Metodi didattici | Illustrazione di presentazioni in formato digitale proiettate in aula. |
| Altre informazioni | Conoscenza e capacità di comprensione: |
| Programma esteso | 1.Il metodo sperimentale. Concetto di misura di grandezze fisiche: grandezze fondamentali e grandezze derivate. Sistema Internazionale delle unità di misura. Errori sperimentali. |

| Contents | Review of the fundamental concepts of the experimental method and error analysis in the measurement of physical quantities. Principles of mechanics (e.g., the concepts of force, work, and conservation of energy) and fluid dynamics (e.g., pressure, and Stevin's and Bernoulli's theorems). Fundamentals of thermodynamics: the concept of heat and thermoregulation. Special emphasis will be placed on applied examples of these topics that are relevant to the nursing profession. This will help achieve the educational objectives regarding the application of physical concepts underlying nursing methods, thereby enabling an understanding of the rationale behind specific clinical and care practices. |
ISBN: 9788808920454 |
| Course objectives | To provide the student with knowledge of physics applied to medicine within the nursing field, specifically the physical principles and phenomena underlying the measurement of physical quantities relevant to patient health, such as body temperature, blood pressure, and ECG. |
| Prerequisites | Basic knowledge of mathematics and physics. |
| Teaching methods | Digital presentations projected in the classroom are illustrated.Discussion of examples on the most relevant topics for applications in nursing practice. The course consists of 9 hours of lectures, equivalent to 1 CFU. This, combined with the student's overall workload, including individual study, is in line with the credits allocated for the course (25 total hours of commitment). |
| Assessment methods | An oral exam, consisting of a few questions on the main topics of the course, will be used to assess learning. It is designed to verify the achievement of the educational objectives, consistently with the expected learning outcomes and the Dublin Descriptors. |
| Other information | Knowledge and understanding |
| Detailed syllabus | The experimental method. Concept of measuring physical quantities: fundamental and derived quantities. International System of Units (SI). Experimental errors. Characteristics of measuring instruments: sensitivity and precision. |
