Il Corso introduce lo studente alla comprensione dei meccanismi e dei fenomeni che sono alla base delle patologie umane.
In particolare, il Corso consentirà allo studente di conoscere le alterazioni dello stato di salute; di conoscere le principali cause esogene ed endogene di malattia; di conoscere i meccanismi fondamentali di malattia e i meccanismi biologici di difesa, reazione al danno, rigenerazione e riparazione.

At the end of this teaching the student:

will be able to understand the causes of diseases in humans and the mechanisms
fundamental pathogenetics that occur at the cell and tissue level; will be able to explain the main mechanisms of reaction to damage, with particular reference to the inflammatory process; will know the main causes of tumors and their pathogenesis; will have a good knowledge of diseases of the main systems.

At the end of this teaching the student will be able to rework the study material (slides, notes taken in class, recommended texts) in order to identify the key concepts.

At the end of this teaching the student will master the specialized language.



At the end of this module, students will be able to independently consult the sources (manuals, online resources).

For each group of topics, teaching activities are planned to consolidate learning. In particular, they are aimed at training students in the ability to apply knowledge and understanding, in the autonomy of intellectual production and critical judgment (e.g. self-evaluation activities), in communication skills (e.g. drafting short written essays) and in the ability to learning (e.g. independently consulting sources).


The teaching activities include:

Frontal lessons will be held in which the topics of the program are presented with the support of technologies (slides, videos, online resources).

A test based on part of the course and and a final oral exam.
The test, based on multiple choice quizzes or questions requiring a short answer, constitutes only a test of classroom learning.
The oral exam will consist of 3/4 questions on different topics.
